We had planned to take advantage of 'Family Night' at the RBC Center and get tickets cheap - 4 for $38. But when we arrived those tickets were of course sold out. Half the group decided to go watch the game at a bar, but Paul, Heather, Clayton and I figured we'd driven all the way out there so we may as well stay and watch the game. We bought the next cheapest tickets - still pretty pricey at $30 each - which were way up in the gods. In fact, we were 4 rows from the back.
Turns out that I actually like being up that high. I can see more of the game, and, most importantly, where the puck is.
Unfortunately, the Canes went down to the Capitals 3-2. But we made the most of the $1 hot dogs so it wasn't all bad. (Except maybe for the kid in front of me who kept turning around to stare at me. I don't think he liked me cheering for Ruutu.)
