The Easter Benny!

Cutest thing ever? The answer is yes. :)

Just an update on my herb garden. Look how well they're growing!

While I was sitting out on the back deck talking to Dad, this gigantic honeybee was buzzing around the arbor. Can you spot him?

Time for a doggy wrestling match!

Roxie vs. Tucker - who will prevail???

Picture of the Day (Day 195 - 9th April 2011)

Back to my favourite shop Whalebone for some goodies including this dress for our Las Vegas trip.

We also found out that some of the Canes players (Skinner, Peters and Sutter) live above the shop. Stalking commences......now!

Tucker's escape hatch in progress!

We get not one, but two doggy houseguests this weekend!

Tucker and Roxie are so adorable together. They get jealous of each other too, which is fine with me because it means they don't get sick of my attention!

Opening up to for the beautiful sunshine we've been having.

(Besides one crazy and awesome storm on Monday night).

Chocolate mousse butterfly cupcakes for Supper Club. They were delicious!

For the main course I made one of my favourites - Shepherd's Pie. Not as good as Mum's but still tasty.

Our new TV obsession.

Paul and I have burned through 3 seasons already. Thank goodness we can watch the rest on Netflix!

Tonight I tried my first pilates class for work and I actually really loved it. I'm looking forward to going back.

A great day all around actually - the weather is amazing, I got to wear shorts today! And a second place win in trivia, made all the more sweeter because our other team barely got 20 points (out of 90).

Today Paul's parents, Kevin, Paul, Libby and I tailgated for the Canes game.

It was my first experience tailgating. It's pretty much a party in the car park. You take food, drinks and games and hang out until it's time to go in to the arena.

It was a big game for the Canes - they were playing the Buffalo Sabres, who are just a few points above us in the standings. If we had won, we would have overtaken them. This was a big deal because there are only a few games left before the playoffs. The top 8 make it, and we were sitting in 9th place.

The atmosphere was fantastic because it was such a big deal for both sides. I wasn't a fan of Buffalo (they played dirtier than Toronto did) but both teams played pretty terribly, and we probably deserved our loss.

A bright point - it was Stormy's (the Canes mascot) birthday! So all the mascots in the area came to celebrate with him.

(Stormy is in the middle of the picture, between the lion and the white dog).

Lauren, one of my friends from UNCW, came to visit for the night.

We had people over for a bbq (also known as a 'cook out' to the Americans) and then headed into downtown Raleigh for a night out 'college-style'.

This picture was taken in the car on the way home. We don't look too bad, right? (And by 'bad' I mean drunk.)

Another of my friends from Wilmington, Kerry, made it to the bbq. She lives close by now so hopefully we'll see each other more often.

The beaver has a reason for taking all of our trees - he's building this dam in the creek behind our house. We've had some heavy rains lately, and no flooding has occurred so we'll let him keep his house, for now.

Picture of the Day (Day 187 - 31st March 2011)

When we got back from New York, we found we had Broccoli growing in our garden (in the area behind the fence). The girl who lived here before us said she had planted various vegetables but none of them survived, so we hadn't bothered to maintain the veggie patch. Fresh broccoli for us!
